AWC Eastern Specialty 1986 (more pictures to follow...) This was my very first major international judging assignment. The day was very hot and humid, but the ring was filled with wonderful Whippets, and I could never have asked for a more rewarding experience. Since then I have returned many times to AWC events in the US. Both as a visitor but also as a judge, always appreciating the great atmosphere and returning home inspired with many happy memories. BOB (SBIS) Ch Delacreme de la Renta He also won the group at the Huntingdon Valley KC. Breeder-owner-handled by Mary Dukes. Later Oscar of course went on to do well both in the show ring, but even more so as an influential sire. He also sired our own Kittre (Ch Merci Isle Whisper To A Purr, born in 1989) that has been so important for the Signum Whippets. This informal snapshot was taken of De La Renta by myself after the show. It has never previously been published!   Winners Bitch & Best of Winners went to Can Ch Ashgrove Aphrodite, that also finished her US title on the day.
